Wind power

Wind power is the number one symbol of renewable energy. Wind turbines harness the power of the wind to generate electricity.

Extensive development over the past few years has demonstrated its major strong points:
  • It is relatively easy to run wind farms and it is a well-established field. Therefore we already have experience for many wind farms both in France and abroad.
  • Much-maligned, the purchasing price of wind-generated electricity makes wind energy competitive next to wholesale market levels for “grey” electricity (i.e. non-green energy).
  • Network parity can be achieved from electricity from wind power. This is when a green energy resource becomes less expensive to the consumer than a fossil fuel one.

ALTERRYA will negotiate with local authorities and other groups, obtain the necessary authorisation, look after the financing, construction and general running of the power plants.

ALTERRYA is looking to develop its wind farms with any private customers or communities with a fair amount of land that is not too close to houses yet has a lot of wind.
